Service of Notices
a) Notices to be served by the council on the tenant will be in writing and sent to the tenants last known address and may be:
(i) Left on the allotment garden;
(ii) Sent to the tenants address by pre-paid first- class post, recorded or special delivery or other next working day delivery service;
(iii) Served on the tenant personally by hand at the tenants address;
b) Notices served in accordance with 18.a. above will be treated as deemed to have been served:
(i) if left on the allotment garden at the time the notice is left at the allotment garden;
(ii) if sent by pre-paid first-class post, recorded or special delivery or other next working day delivery service on the second working day after posting;
(iii) if served on the tenant personally at the time the notice is served on the tenant
c) The council may at its complete discretion also serve a copy of any notice by email to the tenants email address as provided by the tenant to the council (for the avoidance of doubt this is in addition to the relevant method of service as detailed above).
d) Notices to be given to the council should be sent to the Allotment Services, Housing, Regeneration & Operations, Admin Block, Weighbridge Site, Cromer Road, Stoke-on-Trent, ST1 6QN or Allotments@stoke.gov.uk or such other address as the souncil notifies the tenant in writing.
e) On termination of the tenancy, no compensation will be payable in respect of any buildings, structures or other similar items. The tenant will be allowed to remove or sell the same before quitting the allotment garden. The tenant will not be permitted to return to the site or the sllotment garden to remove any buildings or structures after termination of the tenancy.
