Micro provider Initiative

Micro providers are local care professionals who offer personalised support to older adults and disabled people in their own homes—helping them live life on their own terms.

They’re not part of large organisations or agencies. Instead, they’re independent, community-based individuals and small businesses who understand the local area and the people in it. Simply put, it’s local people helping other local people.

What can a micro provider help you with?

  • Daily living support: Help with getting dressed, preparing meals, or managing medication.
  • Companionship: Regular visits for a chat, a walk, or shared activities to reduce loneliness.
  • Household tasks: Light cleaning, laundry, shopping, or gardening.
  • Getting out and about: Support with attending appointments, going to the shops, or joining community groups.
  • Respite for carers: Giving family members a break by stepping in to provide care.

Micro providers tailor their services to your needs, offering flexible, friendly, and reliable support that fits your lifestyle.
