Carer’s Assessments
What is a Carer Assessment?
Carer’s Assessments are offered by your local council, free of charge.
Carer’s Assessments are carried out to discuss how your caring responsibilities affect you physically and emotionally and to identify any support you need as a carer and whether these needs are eligible for support.
If your needs are eligible, a support plan will be created. If you are not eligible for support, information and advice will still be available to you.
Who can apply for a Carer Assessment?
Anyone who has an unpaid caring responsibility can ask for a Carer’s Assessment.
