The Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) is a new UK Government programme designed to provide both short‑term financial crisis support and long‑term financial resilience for people on low incomes.
The fund runs from 1 May 2026 to 31 March 2029, replacing the Household Support Fund (HSF) and Discretionary Housing Payments (DHP).
The new fund will:
- Help people cope with a sudden, unexpected expense or loss of income;
- Provide support for longer term financial resilience
We aim to start our scheme in April 2026. Further details of how the scheme will work will be published shortly,
Updates will be posted on this page when they are available.
