We can collect unwanted household items that are too large for your normal bin collection, including furniture and large appliances.
Cost
- £50.70 for up to five items
- £10.18 for each additional item
- £44.35 per electrical item (fridges, freezers, cookers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, de-humidifiers and LCD / plasma televisions 40in and above)
You must pay when you book your collection.
Before you book
You can use this service if:
- you live in Stoke-on-Trent Check if your property is inside the Stoke-on-Trent city boundary
- you pay your council tax to Stoke-on-Trent City Council
- your items are no larger than 6ft by 4ft
Please note:
- we can collect a maximum of four bags of soil or rubble per booking (20kg per bag)
- this service is only available to households and cannot be used by businesses or landlords
Items we cannot collect
We cannot collect:
- asbestos
- gas cylinders
- fluorescent tubes
- car batteries
- tyres
- paint tins
Preparing for your collection
- Place your items outside by 7am on the day of collection. However, you can put items out from 7pm the evening before.
- Collections take place between 7am and 3pm.
- Items must be left in an accessible location at the kerbside.
- If you live in a terraced property or block of flats, place items at your usual bin collection point.
Changing or cancelling your booking
- Collection charges are non-refundable.
- You can change your collection date up to 12 noon on the working day before your collection.
- Items cannot be changed once your booking has been completed.
