Our Transport Vision
We recognise the importance of investing in public transport and promoting active travel while getting the basics right – we need to keep roads in the best condition possible and make sure residents have an affordable and convenient choice of how they get from A to B.
For many people, good public transport is crucial to access education, training, jobs and key services but, as a city, we face pressing issues with congestion, ageing, climate change and decaying infrastructure.
The document below sets out our vision for transport in the city until 2040, and highlights potential areas of development.
Now we want to make sure we are going in the right direction and we are inviting you on this journey.
We are inviting you to help us shape a transport system that serves our community now and for generations to come and ensure Stoke-on-Trent remains a thriving, connected and dynamic place to live, work and visit.
