We assess what land will be available in the city to develop for housing or employment. This process is called the strategic housing and employment land availability assessment (SHELAA)
A site being included in the SHELAA does not mean it will be available or suitable for development.
The inclusion or omission of a site in the SHELAA will not prejudice any planning application, which would be considered on its own merits.
