We are developing a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) Model which Alternative Provision Providers will be invited to join. By introducing the DPS approach, the Council will move away from the 'spot purchasing' of AP provision by September 2023. Children and young people requiring AP provision from September 2023 will only be placed with Providers who successfully gain a place on the DPS contract following their successful completion of a full tender exercise. The new model will support the City Council's Stronger Together strategic priorities along with the Children and Young People Strategy - Room to Grow, the Inclusion Strategy and Graduated Approach raising standards across the City. We are offering you an opportunity to attend a virtual event where we will; • Explain the City Council's tender process • Provide a timeline for the tender and contract mobilisation • Offer an opportunity for you to tell us your thoughts on what works well and /or lessons learnt from current provision and contract arrangements • Offer an opportunity for you to tell us what you would like to see in the new contract • Offer an opportunity for you to ask any questions on the tender process or raise any other queries or concerns The Virtual Events will be held on Wednesday 25th January 2023 16:00-17:00 and Thursday 26th January 2023 16:00-17:00.
