This annual report showcases the success being achieved in Stoke-on-Trent by utilising a community health asset-based approach to improve the health of the local population. Stoke-on-Trent is ‘on the up’, as demonstrated by the growth of the local economy and improvements in key health outcomes, such as decreases in smoking in pregnancy and teenage conceptions. However, life expectancy and healthy life expectancy remain a key local priority.
