Stoke-on-Trent City Council has released details of four new Apprenticeship positions at their newly created Repairs and Maintenance Service.
The closing date for the highly sought-after positions in Electrical Engineering, Gas Engineering, Plumbing and Joinery is 12 June 2025. Applications are welcomed from students taking GCSE’s or A-Levels this year as well as anyone looking to make a career change.

CSR Co-ordinator Rachel Forster who is responsible for overseeing the Apprenticeship programme said, “We’re extremely proud of our Apprentices and the work they do. These posts offer an opportunity for students to earn whilst being supported through their studies by a dedicated mentor. In the past these posts have been extremely popular; last year, we received over three hundred applications for six posts.”
Councillor Chris Robinson, Cabinet Member for Housing and Planning said, “Stoke-on-Trent was named as the second-best city in the UK for Apprenticeships last year and we’re delighted to continue offering opportunities across the council to people who want to better themselves and their futures. Our Repairs and Maintenance Service has a huge number of mentors eager to share their knowledge and skill, making these ideal vacancies for anyone looking to learn a trade."
