Operation Transom
Tackling nuisance vehicles across Stoke-on-Trent
Operation Transom is a joint initiative between Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Staffordshire Police aimed at addressing the anti-social use of off-road bikes and other nuisance vehicles across the city. This operation targets individuals who damage green spaces, endanger the public, and cause disruption in our communities.
Through increased patrols, vehicle seizures, and educational outreach, Operation Transom is helping to reduce the impact of nuisance bikes on our estates and public areas. The initiative is led by our Anti-Social Behaviour Team in close collaboration with local policing teams.
Community safety remains a top priority. We also want to ensure that those purchasing off-road bikes understand the legal responsibilities and potential consequences of using them unlawfully.
In a positive step forward, a recently seized bike has been donated to Stoke-on-Trent College, where it will be used as a valuable learning resource for students.
If you witness or experience issues involving nuisance bikes, please report them via the dedicated Operation Transom team. Details can be found at the bottom of this page.
Together, we can keep Stoke-on-Trent safe and enjoyable for everyone.
