Operation Sparkler
Keeping our communities safe this halloween and bonfire night
Halloween and Bonfire Night are much-loved occasions, bringing people together for celebrations and community events across Stoke-on-Trent. While most enjoy these festivities responsibly, we recognise that this time of year can also see a rise in anti-social behaviour, which will not be tolerated.
Staffordshire Police are running a dedicated operation to address issues that may arise during this period. Local Policing Teams will be working closely with Stoke-on-Trent City Council and other partners to help ensure everyone can enjoy the season safely—whether out in public or at home.
Officers will be highly visible across the city, engaging with residents and offering reassurance to local communities. We want to make it clear: there is no excuse for nuisance or anti-social behaviour. Anyone seeking to disrupt the peace will be dealt with appropriately.
To support this effort, a dedicated phone line and email address has been set up for residents to report concerns related to anti-social behaviour during Halloween and Bonfire Night, including issues involving fireworks.
Together, we can make this a safe and enjoyable time for all.
