InformationThe aim of the Warm Homes Healthy People Programme is to increase the capacity of third sector partners to deliver affordable warmth services over the winter months to improve health outcomes for vulnerable people. The Council's Directorate of Public Health has allocated £100,000 to support third sector agencies increase their capacity to provide affordable warmth services to the city's vulnerable residents over the 2014/15 winter period. Agencies already providing these type of services to vulnerable people will be considered for inclusion in the programme and the council will support bids that best meet the recommendations of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence in relation to preventing the risk of cold related illness and deaths.
