Milton Primary School currently has a canteen annexe building that does not have any toilet facilities or adequate storage space. Children using the facility currently have to cross a long distance externally in all weathers for their lunch. To overcome these issues it is proposed to construct an extension to the canteen annexe that provides toilet facilities and additional storage. It is also proposed to construct a new covered canopy link between the existing school and annexe buildings to provide sheltered access. The proposed extension will match the existing building and is intended to look like part of the original construction. All materials and colours will be carefully chosen to give the best match to the existing annexe building. The works are to be procured via a JCT Design and Build Contract 2011 and tenders are to be submitted via the Bravo Tendering Portal in accordance with information available online and contained within this document.
