InformationStoke on Trent City Council seeks the services of a competent multi-disciplinary consultant to provide Principal Designer, project management, drawing production and financial control services for a number of demolition projects. The successful consultant will be required to work in conjunction with Stoke on Trent City Council Project Manager, who will retain an active role in the delivery of the projects. The service provision will commence immediately, upon appointment. Consultants wishing to provide a quotation for this work must submit an expression of interest by email only to mark.wootton@stoke.gov.uk. Consultants will be required to satisfy the following criteria. Information relating to the criteria does NOT have to be submitted with the expression of interest but will be required from the successful consultant prior to contract award. Failure to provide satisfactory information will result in disqualification. The Consultant providing the service must; 1. Be able to demonstrate that they have the necessary skills, knowledge, experience and organisational capability to carry out the works in a manner that secures the health and safety of any person affected by the project. 2. Be able to demonstrate that they have the necessary skills, knowledge, experience and organisational capability to carry out the works in a timely manner that ensures successful, on time, delivery. 3. Have a minimum of five years architectural design experience and have the technical knowledge of the construction industry relevant to the project from concept design to planning the delivery of the demolition/construction work. 4. Be able to demonstrate that they have experience in construction and design health and safety including planning, managing and monitoring the pre-construction phase including design works, the preparation of the Pre-construction Information and Health and safety file. 5. Have significant experience of working on stand-alone demolition projects. 6. Have Corporate Membership of the Association for Project Safety (Companies/Organisations). 7. Have, as a minimum, Incorporated Membership of the Association for Project Safety: IMaPS (Individuals; i.e. sole traders or employees of Companies/Organisations). 8. Have a NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety or Construction. 9. NOT own, operate, manage or work for any demolition/decommission contractor. 10. Have the following insurance levels; £5 million Employers Liability Insurance, £5 million Public and Product Liability Insurance, £1 million Professional Indemnity Insurance. A full list of the service provision requirements will be issued with the tender documentation. The tender documents will be issued after the advert closes.
