InformationStoke on Trent City Council requires a consultant to provide services to secure a European Protected Species Licence (EPSL) for a site in the Hanley area of Stoke on Trent, where bats are known to be present. Due to the urgent need to secure the licence the dates stipulated below will be strictly adhered to. Consultants wishing to provide a quotation for this work must submit an expression of interest by email only to Consultants will be required to satisfy the following criteria. Information relating to the criteria does NOT have to be submitted with the expression of interest but will be required from the successful consultant prior to contract award. Failure to provide satisfactory information will result in disqualification. 1. The consultant will hold full membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (MCIEEM). We will verify by checking the CIEEM website. 2. Insurance levels; £5 million Employers Liability Insurance, £5 million Public and Product Liability Insurance. 3. Be able to demonstrate repeated successful delivery of EPSL's (Case Studies). 4. Provision of project specific Risk assessments and Method Statements prior to commencement of the works (we do not accept generic docs). The close date/time of this advert is 4.00pm Thursday 14th July 2016. The tender documents will be issued as soon as possible after an expression of interest is received. The tender is required to be returned by 12pm (midday) on Friday 15th July 2016. The tenders will be evaluated immediately and the successful consultant notified the same day. A minimum of 2 dawn/dusk surveys will be required during week commencing 18th and 25th July 2016. The application to Natural England will be made during week commencing 1st Aug 2016. A full list of the service provision requirements will be issued with the tender documentation.
