InformationTenders are invited for the provision of an Age Friendly City Commitments Programme. Stoke-on-Trent is a member of the WHO Global Network of Age Friendly Cities and Communities which aims to ensure that cities and communites adapt to suit the needs of the ageing population, promote active ageing and support positive health and wellbeing through the life course. The Age Friendly City Commitments Programme supports this notion and the aspiration to make Stoke-on-Trent 'a great place to grow old in'. The aim of the Commitments Programme is to support a core group of older people (Senior Think Tank) to engage local businesses and organisations in committing to becoming age friendly. The successful provider will support and empower the Senior Think Tank to develop and deliver the programme, ensuring engagement of a broad range of local stakeholders.
