InformationStoke City Council is requesting quotations for carrying out Principal Inspections of the following structures; Serial Bridge Name SCC Ref Grid Ref 1 Cliff Vale Bridge 121 E386850,N346330 2 Liverpool Road Bridge 124 E387660,N345610 3 Elenora Street Bridge 125 E387760, N345460 The scope of works includes; To carry out physical inspection of the structures according to the guidance provided in BD 63/07: Inspection of Highway Structures, Design Manual for Road and Bridge DMRB (3.1.4). Reporting condition of the structure and findings of the inspection according to guidance provided in Inspection Manual for Highway Structures Volume 1 & 2. The report should include bridge condition scores, existing arrangement drawings and photographs along with recommendations for future maintenance encompassing short term, medium term and long term condition of the structure. The works will be awarded on the basis of price and quality. The quality will be measured on previous experience, engineering detail included in the reports and ability to work with in mutually agreed time frame. The city council requires the successful bidder to confirm in writing that they will carry out inspection and submit draft report along with the invoice by 28th March 2016. The city council will require two days to check and provide feedback to contractor on their draft report. All the structures are spanning over a watercourse. It is recommended to visit the structures in person before pricing the cost of inspections. The inspection work may require diving equipment and the work zone may be classified as a confined space. Risk assessments and method statements will be requested from the successful bidder. Please provide cost of carrying out inspections, proposed dates and time frame for submitting the reports. Please contact the Project Manager for Pre Construction Information (PCIP) for the works. It is not possible to provide feedback to all bidders. If you do not hear within five working days of the closing date, it means your bid is not successful for this scheme.
