TitleAutomated Visitor Counting Equipment
Contract Reference NumberPL/2015/577
InformationThe supplier/contractor is required to supply and install suitable external automated visitor counters at all 4 entrances of Queens Park, Stoke-on-Trent. At all locations the counters are required to log pedestrians, and additionally at one of these locations counters are required to appropriately log vehicle movement. Gates within the park measure 13m wide. Specifically the counter installations will be required to demonstrate the following: • an integral and durable power supply to the units, e.g. long-life batteries, with 'low battery' warning indicators; • data loggers which record on at least an hourly timeframe; • secure and robust housing/fixings of the counting and logging equipment, e.g. appropriate gauge steel housings painted in a colour to be specified to match the park's livery (mid bronze green); • data on the direction of visitor movement is not required; • ease and appropriateness of data transfer/collection from the loggers to the client's computer system (without requiring laptop computers or the like to be taken to logger locations); • accompanying computer software (compatible with the Council's operating system) to enable data analysis, manipulation and reporting, i.e. enables analysis over time for each counter location, easy comparison between counter locations, summation of a number of specified counter locations over time. The supplier is required to install all counters and associated equipment, and commission and test them so that all are operating correctly and ready for use. Training of staff in data transfer, use of bespoke software, and appropriate day-to-day monitoring and maintenance of the equipment will also be provided by the supplier/contractor before the equipment is formally accepted by the Council. Quotes should be sent directly via email.
