InformationThe City Council is seeking to procure a competent contractor to undertake canal vegetation removal and Japanese Knotweed treatment at Pyenest Street, ST1 4PE. Information relating to the criteria below does NOT have to be submitted with the expression of interest but will be required from the successful contractor prior to contract award. Failure to provide satisfactory information will result in disqualification. All interested Companies, which are able to meet the qualification criteria, are to confirm their interest, by email to mark.wootton@stoke.gov.uk . Expressions of Interest are required by the closing date/time of this advert. Qualification criteria 1. Experience of working with the Canal & River Trust (CRT) in relation to the submission of applications and supporting documentation to seek CRT approval/permit to work on, over or adjacent canals. 2. Japanese Knotweed treatment requires membership of the PCA (Property Care Association). Surveyors managing the works will have CSJK qualification (Certified Surveyor in Japanese Knotweed) and operatives carrying out the works will hold PA1 & PA6 certificates. Alternative equal approved membership/certification will be considered. The decision being at the discretion of the City Council. 3. Health & Safety policy. 4. Curriculum Vitae for the person responsible for H&S. 5. Confirmation of CDM responsibility for the works. 6. To be the Principal Contractor in the event that subcontractors are appointed. Including provision of a Construction Phase Plan. 7. Site Manager to have SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme). 8. SSIP (Registered Member) certification. 9. £10M Employer & £10M Public insurance. 10. Minimum training for all personal, CSCS or equivalent and asbestos awareness. 11. Further training certificates for all relevant work types. 12. Satisfactory RAMS. 13. A minimum of one reference for similar works. Tender documents will be issued after the advert closes.
