We offer courses on a variety of subjects. If you don’t see the subject you’re interested in studying, email adult.learning@stoke.gov.uk We may be able to offer courses in the future if there is enough demand. When you have registered an interest in a course, if appropriate you must pay a deposit or pay for the course in full to guarantee your place. | This course aims to equip learners with the skills and knowledge to be able to crochet their own products using a basic pattern. OBJECTIVES * This course is aimed at absolute beginners who want to crochet with accuracy and confidence to create their own beginner project. * Understand the properties of different yarns * Know which tools are useful for which project * Create a granny square using 3 different stitches * read a basic crochet pattern (text and schematic) * Change yarn colours * Use the internet to explore creative ideas * Give the learners confidence to explore how they can use their new skills and put them to use in the home, for leisure or to start a business. Learners will be able to use these newly acquired skills to create their own projects. Once the basics are mastered, development becomes easier. Crochet hooks and yarn will be provided during the sessions and to practice at home for the duration. | Course Fee : £33.75 Benefit Claimant Fee : £27.00 Full Fee : £67.50 |
