Join us in Stoke-on-Trent libraries for the Summer Reading Challenge this summer!

This year it's all about being inventive! We're inviting you to explore the world of the Gadgeteers - by joining the Summer Reading Challenge 2022!

All Summer we will be exploring how the world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths can be used to make our world a better, easier and more exciting place live in. Children taking part in the Challenge will join our six Gadgeteers - who each have their own unique talents and interests - on their mission to bring their community together for a Summer party like no other. So who can join our summer reading challenge...and how?

Gadgeteers is aimed at children aged 4-11 and is completely FREE to join! You can join the challenge by popping into your local library any time from Saturday 9 July and telling library staff that you'd like to be a Gadgeteer. We'll sign you up and start you on your adventure! If you can't make it into your local library then you can also join in with the reading challenge online via the Summer Reading Challenge website.

We are challenging you to visit your library three times and read six books during the summer holidays - it doesn't matter what you read as long as you enjoy what you read! We love to find out what you've been reading for your summer challenge - so why not come and tell us what you've been reading and what you thought of it? With each of your three library visits we'll have some little goodies to give you - such as stickers (bonus: some of the stickers are even smelly!) Join our Gadgeteers by signing up both in your library Saturday 9 July – The adventure continues into September so there's loads of time to complete it!. When you complete your challenge you'll receive a certificate and medal to take home and keep.

Why not take your medal into school in September to show your teachers what you've been doing over the summer? (We think they'd be pretty impressed!) Find out more here - https://www.stoke.gov.uk/summerreadingchallenge
