Phased return of Leisure Services from Monday 10 January

Published: Friday, 7th January 2022

Cllr Abi Brown, Leader of Stoke-on-Trent City Council said: “We have continued to closely monitor the temporary closure of Leisure Services.

Recognising the role meaningful physical activity plays in support of good physical and mental health, and following a review of the redeployment of staff to critical service areas, a position has been reached that will enable the dry-side activities to reopen at Dimensions, Fenton Manor, New Horizons and the Wallace Centre.”

“From Monday 10 January, the gym at Wallace Centre will reopen to members, and clubs and hirers will be able to return to the sports halls at Dimensions, Fenton Manor, New Horizons and the Wallace Centre.

“The outdoor 3G pitch at Dimensions will also reopen for club and hirers on the same day.

“Due to the rising cases of Covid-19 in the city, the situation will be monitored closely throughout the coming week, and further announcements will be made on water based activities ahead of the planned reopening of these activities on Monday 17 January.”

An announcement will be made next week on the reopening of Museum services.
