Wild Pickle Ferment Festival

This event is all about fermented foods and unprocessed foods. With stalls and talks, this event will raise your awareness and educate about these food groups.

Come along to the Wild Pickle Ferment Festival and dive into a world of educational workshops in sauerkraut making, miso, plant based yogurt and kombucha sponsored and supplied jars by Kilner Uk . All workshops are run by experts from up and down the UK. 

There will be a number of stalls some with award winning foods:-

  • Laid Bear kombucha - draft kombucha
  • Umami chef - koji products like miso 
  • Funky ferments - sauerkraut and kimchi 
  • The path of yeast resistance- sourdough starters
  • Titanic brewery - ales
  • Deriot hot sauces - fermented chilli sauces 
  • Edinburgh Fermentarium - fermented Indian pickle 
  • Staffordshire Oatcakes - oatcakes of course! 
  • Drop City Books - book signing and topic related books 
  • Agriton - composting 
  • Mycosia - mushroom growing kits 
  • Hopefully ceramics - crocks for fermenting 
  • Association of foragers 
  • Fermenters guild

There will also be a talk, demo and book signing for James Read, London and “of cabbages and kimchi’ and incredibly beautifully illustrated fermentation recipe book. 

What about the children? There will be music, a mini pumpking trail, kids kraut making, activities and Morris Dancers.
