Friday Twilight – Echoes Through Time Hoard at Night

Travel back through the mists of time as our Staffordshire Hoard curator reveals some of the secrets of this magnificent treasure by candlelight.

Enjoy poetry recitals by professional poet Dan Simpson and see his Hoard composition brought to life through movement with Frontline Dance. Meet characters from ancient Mercia as they once again glimpse treasures of the 7th century, including the great folded cross, gold sword pommels, and a magnificent king’s helmet. Our café bar will be open from 6pm serving a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks including Mead, a favourite tipple of the Anglo-Saxons.
