Stoke-on-Trent’s iconic half marathon - The Hanley Economic Building Society Potters ’Arf - is due to return on Sunday, June 12, 2022.
The Potters 'Arf is one of the most unique races in the UK. It has amazing Stokie support; places for all; a wonderful atmosphere at the city centre finish; medal, fantastic challenges and more! We want it to be a shining ray of hope in 2022.
The event includes a 13.1-mile race, as well as walk and relay team sections for those who don't want to run the full distance. There is also a 1km and 2km junior race for youngsters. The 1km race is suitable for children aged five to 11 years old and the 2km race is suitable for children aged 12 to 16 years old.
The Potters 'Arf has huge mental and physical health benefits, as well as raising thousands of pounds for local charities – including the main causes the Douglas Macmillan Hospice and The Alice Charity. Organisers hope that around 2,000 participants will be able to tackle this year's event. The safety of residents and participants is of the upmost importance and we will be regularly reviewing the guidance provided by the Government and England Athletics in the run-up to the event.
