Remembrance tributes and plaques - Columbarium at Carmountside

You can find the columbarium in the north cloister of the Garden of Remembrance at Carmountside Cemetery and Crematorium.

It is made from natural stone in a wall design. It is divided into separate alcoves with 21 niches on each side.

The cremation ashes are placed in a casket, with an inscribed name plate then placed into the secure alcove.

Each alcove is covered with a black granite plaque with a message of your choice. Flower containers are also provided at the base of the columbarium.

You can reserve the alcove next to it, so that family members can be close to each another.
 

Each of these prices is for a five-year lease:

• Columbarium - including name plate and casket - £530
• Reservation of a niche - £255
• Columbarium renewal - £315

The location of the plaque must be discussed before ordering.

If you choose not to renew the lease we can arrange to have the ashes removed from the niche at the end of the lease and an alternative method of disposal can be arranged (there may be additional charges for alternative options).

You may wish to keep the cremated ashes once they have been removed from the niche and take them home.
