How we use your data

When you register as a participant in our community programmes we collect:

  • your name
  • your address
  • your telephone number
  • your email address 
  • your date of birth
  • your gender
  • what programme or activity you are attending (GOGA, Parklives, Community Activation, adult weight)
  • whether you have any physical or mental health conditions or illnesses that affect your normal daily activities
  • whether you have additional requirements for language, hard of hearing, or disability
  • information about your health in general
  • your current level of physical activity

We use this data to:

  • contact you with information on local programmes
  • send you information via post on your chosen service 
  • we are able to do this because we already have your consent to do it. You have provided this consent by:
    • expressing an interest in one of the above services via a health professional or a frontline member of staff who have made the referral on your behalf 
    • leaving your contact details with the Living Well Hub requesting further information on support available
    • leaving your contact details on our website requesting further information on support available

We have a duty to protect public funds so may use the information we have for the prevention and detection of fraud. We may share this information with other bodies for these purposes.

We may share data with our internal audit team to evaluate the effectiveness of the organisation’s risk management, control and governance processes.  We may also share your data with the council's fraud team to help to prevent and detect fraud.
