Fair processing notices - Carer recruitment

How we use your data

When you contact the service we collect your basic personal details (name, age, address, current employment status). We only keep this data for the time specified in our retention schedule or as required by law.

We use this data:

  • to pass to the National Careers Service for them to contact you about you about a career as a care worker
  • to understand the numbers of people who are interested in becoming care workers
  • to understand the average age of people interested in becoming care workers, so we can re-target future recruitment campaigns if we need to
  • to understand where in Stoke-on-Trent people who are interested in a career in care predominantly live
  • to undertake further trend analysis so we can overcome the barriers to entering a career in care, and to increase the number of care workers operating in Stoke-on-Trent

We are able to do this because we will request your consent when you first contact us.

We may share data with our internal audit team to evaluate the effectiveness of the organisation’s risk management, control and governance processes.  We may also share your data with the council's fraud team to help to prevent and detect fraud.
