As part of the Household Support Fund, Stoke-on-Trent City Council has joined with Severn Trent Water to set up a scheme to help people who are in arrears with their water bill. A one-off award of up to £150 is available to help people with their bills.
Who is eligible for the scheme?
To qualify for support from the scheme, you must meet the following criteria:
- You are a resident of Stoke-on-Trent and your address falls within the city council area (if you are unsure, you can check this by entering your postcode at the following link), and;
Find your local council
- You are liable to pay water charges for this address, and;
- You are currently in arrears on your water account.
If you meet all of the criteria above, you may be entitled to help via the Water Support scheme. To apply, please click the link below and complete the online form.
Once you have submitted your form, your details will be shared with Severn Trent Water and they will access your account details, and if you are entitled to help with your water charges a credit of up to £150 will be applied directly to your water bill. You will be notified in writing whether you have received an award from the scheme once your application has been decided.
