Repairs to Barlaston Old Road

From Monday 6 June for around 7 weeks, work will be completed to repair the carriageway along with renewal of road markings and adjustment of iron work on Barlaston Old Road.

This means there will be limited or restricted access to properties as the work takes place. We kindly ask that if alternative parking is considered as access to property frontages is not guaranteed.

Please note: If you have any specific requests for access to your property or any operational issues, please speak to the contractor (Aggregate Industries) on 07734 777860.

Timescales can be subject to change due to adverse weather conditions, material issues etc. however we will endeavour to stick to the times allocated.

Please be aware that the times stated on the information issued are working times only (09am - 5pm) but Barlaston Old Road will remain closed for the duration of the project (all day). Diversion routes will be in place at all times as Barlaston Old Road will be a NO THROUGH ROUTE for the entirety of the project. Due to the nature of the works (350mm plus excavation) access will only be made available outside of these times when it is deemed safe enough to do so.

Whilst we endeavour to complete and reopen sections as soon as possible we must only do so when we can guarantee the safety of the motorist. It is therefore best to assume that residents need to follow the diversion in place to access / egress your property. We are currently on programme so access to the Estate will be available from Longton Road via Burrington Drive from 21 June. Until then all access will be via the diversion route into Johnathon Road.

We apologies for the inconvenience but please be patient with us we carry out the works.

Should you have further enquires please contact highways.client@stoke.gov.uk. This site is being monitored for the duration of the project and a response will be issued at the earliest convenience
