Children from across the city will be able to show off their artistic talents when they take part in Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s annual design a Christmas card competition.
The first prize winners from each of the four age groups; under 4, 5-7, 8-11 and 12-16, will see their designs printed and used as the city council’s official Christmas cards which will be sent out by Lord Mayor Lilian Dodd, Leader Ann James, Deputy Leader Abi Brown and council officers. All prize winners will be invited to a special prize-giving tea with the Lord Mayor in the Lord Mayor’s Parlour.
Lord Mayor Lilian Dodd said: “This competition is a fantastic opportunity for our city’s children to show off their artistic talents. The artwork that the children create is always amazing and I’m really looking forward to seeing the results of this year’s competition.”
