Players of Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s online lottery will be in with the chance of winning a month’s worth of trampoline classes.
Stoke Trampolining and Gymnastics club has donated two free passes for two lucky winners to receive four trampoline classes at the club’s premises in Trentham and Fenton. The passes are for two children between the ages of 6 to 16.
Potto Lotto, which was launched in May, is a lottery scheme that aims to support good causes around the city.
The gymnastics club is one of 55 good causes in Stoke-on-Trent that are signed up to the lottery. For each £1 ticket sold, 50p goes directly to a good cause signed up to the scheme, chosen by the player.
Nick Haynes, Treasurer of Stoke Trampolining and Gymnastics club said: “We are excited to be joining forces with Potto Lotto to offer two children the chance to come and give trampolining a try at our club. We are the largest British Gymnastics Trampoline Club in the area, and are supported by Great Britain and England team coaches.
“We joined Potto Lotto because we thought it was a great way to raise vital funds for the club to contribute to offset equipment maintenance, provide new equipment or generally enhance the club to support our members’ development and experience.
“Our aim is to move into new premises next year and to expand our services across all gymnastics to help us meet the demand we are experiencing. We offer unique fitness opportunities for all ages and always welcome new faces.”
Potto Lotto draws take place every Saturday at 8pm and the two trampoline passes can be won next Saturday 29th September. For current supporters, any tickets purchased for that week’s draw will be entered and all tickets bought by new supporters between 1st September and 29th September until 8pm will be entered.
Councillor Anthony Munday, cabinet member for greener city, development and leisure said: “Potto Lotto is a brilliant initiative that is proving to be beneficial to many great causes around Stoke-on-Trent. It enables the public to donate a small amount that will help make a difference to these causes, and gives them a chance to win prizes. I would also like to thank Stoke Trampolining and Gymnastics Club for their very kind donation of this unique prize. ”
