This year, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service.
An extended bank holiday will take place from Thursday 2 June to Sunday 5 June to give people an opportunity to celebrate this historic milestone, with a number of national and local planned events to mark Her Majesty's 70-year reign.
You can also get involved arranging your own events to help celebrate.
Platinum Jubilee book
All primary schools across the UK will be receiving a free comemorative book to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Books will arrive mid May.
Green Canopy (2022)
A tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022 which invites people from across the United Kingdom to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee”.

Trooping the Colour - Thursday 2 June 2022
Over 1,400 soldiers along with horses and musicians will come together to celebrate the Queen's official birthday. The parade is usually held on the second Saturday in June.
Platinum Jubilee Beacon - Thursday 2 June 2022
The lighting of the Jubilee Beacon will be marked nationally and across the Commonwealth.
Service of Thanksgiving - Friday 3 June 2022
A Service of Thanksgiving for Her Majesty The Queen's reign will be held at St Paul's Cathedral.
Platinum Party at the Palace - Saturday 4 June 2022
The BBC will stage and broadcast a special live concert from Buckingham Palace. Members of the public will be invited to apply to attend this special event and details of the ballot for UK residents to secure audience tickets will be released in due course.
The Big Jubilee Lunch - Sunday 5 June 2022
The Big Lunch encourages communities to celebrate their connections and get to know each other a little better, coming together in spirit of fun and friendship.
