TitleStoke-on-Trent Museums are looking to partner with a specialist provider, to deliver wedding services at our award-winning museums, The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery and Gladstone Pottery Museum
Contract Reference NumberHDG/2023/602
InformationStoke-on-Trent Museums are looking to maximise the income potential of our amazing museums by developing them as venues for marriage and civil partnership ceremonies, as well as wedding breakfasts and receptions. Both museums have unique potential for this purpose. The Spitfire Gallery at PMAG sits within a striking new extension to the main building, completed in 2021. This houses the City's iconic spitfire, a fully restored Mark XVI built in 1945. The gallery is adjacent to the newly refurbished Violet's Cafe, an ideal venue for wedding breakfasts or receptions. Gladstone Pottery Museum, a Grade II listed building, is a historic 18th/19th century pottery factory with period brick buildings and some of the city's last remaining bottle ovens set around a central cobbled courtyard. The site has been used for film and television numerous times due to its well-preserved historic character. As a wedding venue, it would be a unique and unforgettable location. Licences for both sites are either acquired or in the process of application. We are now looking to obtain the services of an experienced and enthusiastic provider, who will take this ambition to fruition. This will include all aspects of service delivery from point of contact onwards, working closely with clients, Registrars and museum professionals to deliver a successful and competitive wedding offer at our museums.
