InformationStoke-on-Trent City Council is commissioning a series of Age-Friendly Awareness sessions to be delivered between March and September 2015. The purpose of the sessions is to familiarise organisations across the city with the World Health Organisation, Age Friendly City ethos and the role they can play in promoting and embedding a positive ageing approach in their policies, services, settings and structures. The training should emphasise the role of older people in directing our approach and should be developed and delivered with the active input of older people. We will require a combination of half and full day training sessions, designed and delivered to meet the needs of the target audience, our aim is to reach a minimum of 200 individuals through 10 training opportunities.
