Wooldridge Court is one of the city's seven sheltered housing schemes in the city, and the first to be remodelled to provide more modern, larger independent living accommodation, of 27 flats, along with communal facilities. Remodelling works are due to complete in March 2015, at which stage the scheme will ready to accommodate new furniture and furnishings to complete the modern feel. A key element of providing new patio furniture within the external communal space is to complete the feel of more contemporary accommodation, providing residents with a home that they can be proud of, where they can both have their own protected space, and also have the ability to come together in suitably interesting and visually pleasing internal and external settings. The communal areas in the building to be furnished are the main lounge on the ground floor, a smaller seating area on the first floor, and an external patio space outside the main lounge.
