Sports and leisure centres - New Horizons Sport and Leisure

Facilities available

Swimming: The pool at New Horizons is open for lane swimming from Monday, October 5, with covid-secure measures in place to help to keep customers safe. All guests must pre-book time in the 25-metre pool and pay for their session in advance by using the ActiveStoke app or calling New Horizons on 01782 235037 (during opening times). Those who have not booked in advance will not be allowed in. 

The other covid-secure measures in place include:

• Reduced numbers for each session to aid with social distancing;
• A one-way system is in place;
• No spectators allowed;
• Social distancing rules followed;
• NHS test and trace will be used;
• No vending facilities available; 
• Allocated lockers and changing rooms;
• Limited/restricted use of shower facilities;
• After each session, the poolside and changing area will be cleaned. Cleaning will also take place during sessions.
• If you develop any coronavirus symptoms please do not attend and instead follow Public Health England advice.

Sessions can be booked no more than seven days in advance. If you are unable to attend your session, please remember to cancel it so the slot can be allocated to another person.

The initial offer will be lane swims only, with a view to bring back leisure swims when possible. Safety is the top priority at New Horizons. Visitors are asked to please maintain social distancing and follow the guidance of leisure centre staff at all times.

Other facilities: New Horizons is also open for swimming lessons and permitted regular hire indoor sports.

  • You can view available slots, book and manage your activities online via our new ActiveStoke smartphone app (available for Apple and Android users).

Membership

Gym memberships are currently available for Shapes at Fenton Manor, Dimensions and the Wallace. You can sign up for a gym membership. Non-members are welcome to use the facilities.
