Sports and leisure centres - New Horizons Sport and Leisure

Facilities available

New Horizons is temporarily closed.

Leisure centres temporarily closed on 28 March 2020, as part of national coronavirus lockdown measures. City council teams have reviewed Government, Public Health England and sport and leisure sector guidance to reopen the leisure centres in a Covid-secure way. Some activities and facilities remain closed and will be reopened in the coming weeks, this includes facilities and activities at New Horizons, the pool at Dimensions, the health spa at Fenton Manor, cafés, and events or parties.

Gyms: Our fitness suites at Shapes at Fenton Manor, Dimensions and The Wallace Centre are available to members and on a pay as you go basis. They are 8am-8pm Monday and Friday and Saturday and Sunday 9am-4pm. The sessions must be pre-booked - please see how to do this below.

Exercise and fitness classes: Activities at New Horizons are not currently available. A programme of aerobic, relaxation and indoor cycle classes are available to members and on a pay as you go basis at Shapes at Fenton Manor, Dimensions and The Wallace Centre. The sessions must be pre-booked - please see how to do this below.

Lane swimming: Swimming is not currently available at New Horizons. Morning, afternoon and evening sessions are available at Fenton Manor for members and on a pay as you go basis. The sessions must be pre-booked - please see how to do this below.

Make a booking

Pre-booking is essential. Activities are not currently available at New Horizons. You can book a 45-minute gym or group exercise session at Shapes at Fenton Manor, Dimensions and The Wallace Centre. Each session starts on the hour. You can also book morning, afternoon and evening lane swimming sessions at Fenton Manor.

Members - please use the ActiveStoke App, go online here or call your chosen centre to book.  

Non-members - please call your chosen centre. Staff can help you to register for an account to use the online booking methods below. Alternatively, team members can also book sessions over the phone and answer your queries.

App

  • You can view available slots, book and manage your activities online via our new ActiveStoke smartphone app (available for Apple and Android users).

  • If you don’t have your login details, click ‘Forgotten your PIN’.
  • To reset your PIN, you will need your email address and your member ID: (this is the number from your Energise card, without the ‘SOT’)

Online

  • Go to our online booking portal via this link, and enter your email address and PIN number if you have one already.

Membership

Facilities are not currently available at New Horizons. You can sign up for a gym membership to attend Fenton Manor, Dimensions or the Wallace.

For all members, existing and new, facilities and activities will be free to use throughout August 2020. Following this, membership fees will be capped at £10 for September 2020, with a view to membership packages returning to normal after the full range of facilities and services resume.

During August 2020, we are also giving all members ‘global’ access, so they will be able to use any of the facilities available at Fenton Manor, Dimensions and The Wallace.

Non-members are welcome to use the facilities.
