Please use this form to report general environmental issues or request a clear up of untidy areas - including canals and river banks.

Your request will be responded to within 10 working days, however due to the nature of the issue this may not mean resolved in that time.

If your matter is concerning any urgent environmental issues such as broken glass, needles/syringes or bodily fluids then please report these by calling us on 01782 234234.

Streets, pavements and alleyways are cleaned on a schedule which is determined by a number of factors including footfall and weather conditions. We also action fly-tipping removal upon request for unadopted alleyways.Please see below issues we no longer deal with.

Street Cleaning: For enquiries in relation to grass cutting, fly tipping and vegetation management on the A50 or A500 please contactHighways Englandwho are responsible for these functions. All cleansing and litter picking at these locations is carried out by the City Council when road safety and traffic management allows.

Businesses can also request private land to be swept for a cost.

We cannot deal with issues that are:

  • dog fouling removals other than in these parks; Hanley, Burslem, Tunstall, Fenton, Longton and Central Forest park.All otherlocations where dog fouling may exist are maintained on a scheduled basis so it will be removed on our next visit
  • Weed treatment, vegetation pruning, grass cutting and litter picking for unadopted alleyways.

  • on a railway please contact Network Rail
