Workplace Travel Plans
The daily journey to work has a big impact on congestion in the city. Companies now recognise how important it is to help tackle these issues and many have developed a workplace travel plan to achieve this.
What is a workplace travel plan?
A travel plan outlines what your company is going to do to make sustainable methods of travel more attractive for employees and to promote efficient ways of using the car.
Every workplace travel plan is different and is designed to meet your company’s specific needs. It can deal with different types of travel including commuter journeys, business trips and visitor travel.
What are the benefits?
Having a travel plan can bring real benefits including:
- Reducing congestion and improving site access.
- Healthier staff leading to fewer sick days.
- Cost savings due to lower business mileage.
- Increase in staff productivity due to staff not being stuck in traffic.
- Improving recruitment and staff retention.
- Helping lower your impact on the environment.
- Improving your corporate environmental image.
