Local Transport Plan

Transport planning in Stoke-on-Trent is coordinated by the Local Transport Plan.

Our new Local Transport Plan (LTP3) provides strategy and direction to 2026 and a 3 year investment plan. The Stoke-on-Trent Local Transport Plan 3 refreshes the long term transport strategy and continues the implementation of the North Staffordshire Local Transport Plan 2006/07-2010/11 (LTP2).

The North Staffordshire Local Transport Plan (LTP2) built on from the work delivered by our first Local Transport Plan for Stoke-on-Trent: Stoke-on-Trent Local Transport Plan 2001-2006 (LTP1).

To support the implementation of Local Transport Plan 3 we have submitted a joint bid with Staffordshire County Council to the Department for Transport's Local Sustainable Transport Fund. The bid is for nearly £5 million for a North Staffordshire Sustainable Transport Package.  The bid was submitted on 24 February 2012.

More information on our joint application to the Local Sustainable Transport Fund is available here.

We have also submitted a Stoke-on-Trent bid to the Local Sustainable Transport Fund to help meet our Local Transport Plan objectives. The bid is for £4.138m towards a Stoking Employment package of sustainable transport interventions.

More information on our Stoke-on-Trent bid to the Local Sustainable Transport Fund is available here.
