Traffic Orders

Traffic Orders are introduced in order to control the following;-

• Traffic flows
• Parking of vehicles
• Installation of pedestrian crossings
• Installation of taxi ranks

Such Orders can only be introduced following a legal process, which involves the advertisement of any proposals for the public to view, object or to make comment on. This process is administered by the Network Management Group of the Directorate of Urban Environment.
