Road Safety in Schools

Children taking part in our 'Tiny Steps' pedestrian training.

To help reduce the number of child road casualties in the city we provide a range of road safety services to local schools.

Road safety officers and teachers work together to link road safety education into the school curriculum. To find out more visit the Teaching Resource section of the Department for Transport's website

We have a variety of resources aimed at three to 16 year olds available on free-loan. These include videos, CD-ROMs and teacher's notes. Follow the links from this page for more information.

If you are not aware of any road safety work in your child's school, you can arrange a visit from one of our road safety officers. Contact us using the details below.
