Public Transport - Co-ordination

Cityrider bus in Stoke

Our Passenger Transport Team works with many partners to provide a suitable intergrated public transport network throughout the city and North Staffordshire.

This includes:

  • Encouraging bus and rail operators to work together, promoting better initiatives that will benefit the people of Stoke-on-Trent.
  • Providing the Cityrider network - an accessible public transport network for those who are disadvantaged.
  • Working with neighbouring local authorities on cross boundary services.
  • Working with employers, schools, colleges and hospitals to encourage use of public transport.
  • Procuring transport for mainstream and special needs school children, both home to school and to recreation and swimming lessons.
  • Procuring transport for Social Services clients to attend day centres.
