Controlled Parking Zones

A Controlled Parking Zone is an area that has parking restrictions that apply to a length of road or a network of roads in the area. The zones are designed to make sure on-street parking in the Controlled Parking Zone suits the area.

Why have Controlled Parking Zones?

There may be too much demand for car parking in an area, for example by residents who live in the area, local businesses or visitors to the area. Controlled Parking Zones make sure on-street parking and priority is given to those who have little choice where they park.

Which areas have a Controlled Parking Zone?

We have the Stoke Stadium Controlled Parking Zone. This covers three areas:

  • Campbell Road in Stoke;
  • Heron Cross; and
  • The Hollybush Estate.

You will need a residents permit or business permits to park in this zone. Use the link from this page to find out more about these permits.

Look out for the signs

Zone entry signs at the start of a Controlled Parking Zone display when on-street car parking with permits is allowed. The signs may also show who may park in the parking bays provided.

Having a sign at the start of the zone means we do not need to have signs at every parking restiction in the zone. However, we sometimes provide signs by the restrictions to make sure you are aware of the times the restriction applies.
