Motorcycling in Stoke-on-Trent
Whether you ride a motorcycle, a scooter or a moped we hope you will find some useful information on this website. We want to encourage the use of motorcycles as a means of transport around the city, whilst making sure that you stay safe.
Travelling by motorcycle can be great fun, but also helps to reduce congestion and pollution. We are trying to create an environment in Stoke-on-Trent where motorcyclists are welcome.
Motorcycle parking
There are dedicated and secure FREE motorcycle parking bays in Hanley, Longton, Tunstall and Burslem with new bays planned for Fenton and Meir. Security hoops are to be installed in South Wolfe Street car park in Stoke (to the rear of the indoor market) and we are looking to see where more security measures are needed. Follow the links at the side of this page to see where you can park.
Stoke Motorcycle User Group
In May 2000 we set up the Stoke Motorcycle User Group (known as SMUG). The group was set up for people with an interest in motorcycles and motorcycling issues with the aim of promoting and improving motorcycling in Stoke-on-Trent.
SMUG is run by the city council for the benefit of motorcyclists and anyone is welcome. Follow the link at the side of this page to find out more.
