Getting about

There are many ways of getting about. We want to help you to make an informed decision about the method of travel you use for your journeys.

All too often the car will be your first choice, but we hope to be able to persuade you to consider other possible alternatives. If your journey is not too far you may be able to walk or cycle ... think of the health and cost benefits. Could you use the bus? ... you won't need to find a parking space.

The links from this page will offer you information on 'how to' and 'where to' along with some safety advice where relevant.

Of course you may not need to get to anywhere in particular, you may just wish to take in some fresh air and enjoy a walk or a cycle ride. The links to walking and cycling will give you details on some of the places you can go away from main roads and traffic.

Please follow the links at the side of the page to find out more on getting about in and around Stoke-on-Trent.
