Family Link - Respite Care for Disabled Children

Children and their families and carers

What is Family Link?
Stoke-on-Trent Family Link supports families caring for a child with disabilities. Approved foster carers can provide care from just a few hours occasionally to up to whole weekend breaks on a regular long term basis.

Who can use this service and how much does it cost?
The service can be used by children with disabilities who live with their families or carers. A Social Worker can assess if the service will be useful to a child or their family. The Family Link service is free to children with disabilities and their families and carers.

What are the benefits of using Family Link Services?
Your Family Link Carer could help your child broaden their life experiences by giving them the opportunity to:

  • Make new friends
  • Try new things and develop new interests and hobbies
  • Gain independence by having the opportunity to stay away from home sometimes.

If you feel this service could be of value to your child and family please call The Regent Centre on 01782 235100
