Sensory Disabilities

What is a sensory disability?

A sensory disability means that you have difficulty either seeing or hearing. There are different levels of disability. Some people may not be able to hear at all while others will be able to hear partly and might use hearing aids. In the same way, a person could be totally blind or be able to see partly- we sometimes call this 'partially sighted' or 'visually impaired'.
