Addressing high unemployment figures, as well as developing a higher skilled workforce, are priorities for the city council and we have an important role in creating learning, training and employment opportunities for all local residents.
We are working towards:
- Lowering overall unemployment levels in North Staffordshire
- Addressing unemployment rates in the worst performing areas
- Increasing the number of people with Level Qualification 2
- Increasing the number of working age residents with at least Level Qualification 4
- Reducing the number of 16-18 yr olds who are not in education, training or employment
- Improving management competencies
